The Cue Tube

The Cue Tube is a global community of composers for Film, TV and Gaming. We provide resources, many of them free, for aspiring and working composers to develop their skills, network and portfolio. Primary amongst these is an extensive library of un-scored clips which composers can access for practice and use within their showreels. The clips cover a variety of genres from animation to documentary and include SFX and dialogue, to enable composers to practice integrating their music with other audio elements. We also provide educational resources, interviews with successful composers and competitions with thousands of dollars worth of prizes and industry-leading judges such as Oscar winner Mychael Danna. The community raises money for arts-related charities and has so far raised over $15,000 in donations to these causes.
Our main charity vehicle is our annual Score Relief film scoring contest that attracts thousands of participants from around the world and includes prizes such as having your music performed and recorded by a professional orchestra.
The Cue Tube is embarking on film production in partnership with established filmmakers and is currently in the pre-production stage of our first professional short film, slated for shooting in Q4 2022.
